Fishing with your Children or Grandchildren

Create memories while teaching your children or grandchildren how to fish.

Make sure you know the fishing hole you are going to so you don’t waste time looking for a place to fish. Keep in mind small children tend to bore quickly so keep things interesting.  Give the child the adventure of baiting their own hook and then help them cast the line into the water. Tell them to watch the bobber and try and be quiet and patient because a big fish could bite at any time. If you are catching fish be careful not to make the fishing trip too long. Making the child stay when they are tired or bored may make them dislike fishing. Even if the fish are not biting have fun and make the experience a happy one.  Remember, this special time together makes memories that will last forever. Your “Fishing Day” will always be a page in their memory file. ….maybe they will take you fishing one day!
