Bream Fishing

Bream Fish are fresh water fish that love the sunlight. So, the number one requirement for bream fishing is sunshine…thus the name “sunfish”.  Once you have found your location, usually in a shallow cove, it is time to pick the sweet spot.  A good way to do this is to use your nose. Bream beds have a slightly fishy, slightly sweet smell. This is the best way to find their beds. Most fishermen use crickets and grass hoppers as the number one bait but red worms and night crawlers are a close second. The preferred type of rod used is the ultra-light rod but you can also get a bargain priced rod and reel combo or a cane pole.  After a fun-filled day of fishing you can cook your fish exactly the way you like it. Bream fish are delicious when pan fried.
